Weekend News
Annie - I went to my grandmom and grandpa house. I play outside. I went to get Rita's and I went to the Phillie's game. I got a haircut and I got new shoes.
Grant - I go Target and get Super Sonic and Super Shadow.
Renata - I went to aunt Fay's house and I hold the chicken. I got to pet Bear (her dog) and he love me so much. He lick me.
Ellery - I go to Nana's and Pop's house to play. I take a walk with my daddy and my baby and my momma. I play with my baby.
Zoey - I went to movie theater. I saw Lilo and Stitch. I had popcorn and i-cy. I play at home mommy and daddy.
Lydia - I went to see my Nona and grandpa. I went to festival that I didn't not like. I went to Please Touch museum with my mommy and daddy.
Lake - I play take me out to the ball game with mommy and daddy. I play airport.
Wren - I went to Ocean City and I play and I stay there for seven days. I garden at my house.
Colby - I play with my poppy and my baby.
Isa - I went to Target to buy some toys. I stay at home and watch a movie and eat cookies and ice cream.
Whelan - I draw and eat egg sandwich at lunch. My mother didn't let me go outside by myself so we didn't do that.
Willow - I did some stuff with my family and I play with my sister.
Julian - I play with my brother. I went to 3 birthdays and that was it.
Masai - I was playing with my baby sister. I made a castle. I went for walk with my mommy and daddy and my sister.
Spanish class began with Alicia greeting us at the door. After our Calendar and Hundred Chart work that we have been doing all year and learning about numbers in Spanish, such as counting by 10-100 and the Calendar numbers. The Cardinals then played a game of Camina (walk) Parda (Stop) and when Alicia called a color, friends stopped, looked and pointed to the color called! Nice work Cardinals!! Today it was Isa turn to squeeze la vaca!
After eating our snack, it was time for our awaited Creek Walk!! The Cardinals saw fish in the creek but no frogs. We had fun walking and splashing in the water!
Tuesday
The Cardinal started the day with free choice and journal work. Friends were excited to have more space in the block area because we placed our purple house outside for more happy times. It's really nice to see some parents from our class enjoying the house as well!!
Michelle read the book Max and Bird by Ed Vere. The Cardinals then choose a book of their choice before heading back to our room. Soon we were off to music rehearsal!

Wednesday
The Cardinals along with their buddies and the rest of lower school headed over to the meeting house for meeting for worship! Friends happily chatted as we walked over and back.
Back in the classroom, Julian's mom, dad and brother came to celebrate Julian's early birthday! Julian brought in cupcakes to share with his friends. Julian's mom read two very fun books, Garth pie and I Follow the Fox! Thank you, Julian for sharing your brother, mom and dad with us! Thanks, Elliot, Morgan and Demetrius for reading and spending time with us!!
Thursday
The Cardinal had their last rehearsal before our show. Friends continue to look and sound amazing! We had a class conversation and asked each Cardinal, "Name a fun thing you want to do at school." We combined all the responses into 4 days. Below is a list of fun ideas/activities the Cardinal came up with for next week, the last week if school. Here's what friends wanted:

Friday
The Cardinals ate their special snack provided by their parents. Thank you all for making this day a special one! Soon, it was time for the Cardinals to head down to the auditorium and on to the stage!! Our Cardinals, along with the other EC and Kindergarten classes did a wonderful job of singing loud and proud on stage! Yay, Cardinals!!
