Monday

                                 Weekend News          

Colby -  I got McDonald Poppy. I also got toy. 

Isa - I had to go to the doctor and I got a needle. I was a little sad then I went to my uncle's house and spend the night with my cousin. I went to my grand-mom's party. I made a story up with my cousin. 

Whelan - I ate a sandwich and crackers. We did a European mask, it was a phone mask.

Julian - I play with my brother and then the next morning. We went to my granny's house for brunch. We went back home and wash my hair and make some cookies with auntie Kate. That's all. 

Willow - I saw my cousin at my aunt and uncle's house and we play outside a lot. We made homeostasis.  I think that's pretty much it. 

Masai - I was eating oranges and tacos. I was playing with my baby sister and myself. I watch mommy laptop for a little while before bed time. I eat pizza with my mom and dad and my baby sister. I eat some ice cream too. 

Annie -  I went the beach house. I play with my cousins and we had a dance party. Me and my cousin went outside and play on scooters.  

Grant -  Play King Kong with Clarke. I play mommy. 

Renata - My baby brother have two teeth. He start biting me. I go in the back yard and mommy push me so so high and I saw a airplane and a big giant hawk. 

Ellery - I bike with Nana and Pop-Pop. I play on my play set with Mimi and Pop. I play with my brother. We play hide and seek. I made smoothie with daddy. 

Zoey - I play bubbles and dance party and basketball and soccer and bouncy ball with god mom at my house. I went to art class. That's it I think. 

Lydia - I stay home and that's it. Oh, I play with my toys and I bake with daddy. We make pancakes before bed. I had hamburgers for dinner. 

Lake - I draw on pictures. I play with my toys and mommy. I play outside with mommy. I got Wawa.

Wren - I saw a lollipop and I got to eat it in the morning. Mommy said I was suppose to eat it, it was a mystery lollipop. We went to a new playground.

The Cardinals got to call out clothing in Spanish for their peers as they played a game of swatter. At the end of class, Alicia gave each Cardinal a coloring book to bring home with the Spanish clothing! Today it was Whelan's turn to squeeze la vaca!

Each Cardinal took turns creating a tree trunk and branches for their Spring tree. While friends waited for their turn to paint, they explored the sandbox, created with gears, or played a game of Snail Pace! The Cardinals did a wonderful job of showing their patients as they rotated through each activity while waiting to work at their desired station!!

Tuesday

Whelan's mom (Rachael) and dad (Max) came in to celebrate St Patrick's Day! Max read the book Mel Fell by Corey R. Tabor in a fun Irish accent. The book was very interactive and the Cardinals enjoyed it! As the Cardinals ate their snack Racheal read the book Spacebot by Mike Twohy which friends enjoyed as well! Thanks, Whelan for sharing your mom and dad with us! Thank you, Racheal and Max for coming in and reading to us!

                             

 

                             

                              

The Cardinals had a fun time in gym class with Josh. Today friends worked with soft frisbees, rings and different size balls. Friends practice, kicking, rolling, bouncing and catching balls. 

Wednesday

After Meeting for Worship with our second grade partners and all lower schoolers and teachers. We had morning meeting followed by snack time. 

Ellery's mom (Melissa) and dad (Adam) came in to read and celebrate Ellery's 5th birthday which will be over Spring Break. Ellery's mom and dad read the book EveryNight is Pizza Night by J. Kenji Lopez-Alt. The Cardinals really liked and enjoyed this book and had much to say while it was being read!  Ellery brought in cupcakes to celebrate with her friends! Thank you, Ellery, for sharing your mom and dad with us! Thank you, Melissa and Adam for coming in and reading to us!

                                   Happy 5th Birthday Ellery

The Cardinals had some time to explore with many different items in art class today. Johanna put out markers, glue sticks, colored paper, stickers, scissors, fancy scissors and told the Cardinals they were going to pick whatever color big piece of paper they wanted to use as the base of their project. They all had a lot of fun sharing the materials and using their imaginations to create a colorful piece of art!     

                             

                             

After rest time, the Cardinals had another special treat. Renata brought in cupcakes to share. Thank you, Renata!!
