The Cardinals working on designing their very own Valentine's Day bags!
We brought 13 bins of snow inside and told the Cardinals one thing, "Have no fun!" Of course they laughed and said yes fun! Friends enjoyed exploring with the snow, animals and shaving cream! What a messy fun time the Cardinals had! The Cardinals were great helpers in helping to clean up. They dried animals and put them away. Friends also each dried a bin and stacked them up before going downstairs to run around! Great work Cardinals!
Thursday
Many thanks to our Cardinals Home and School parents for providing a very appreciated Valentine's day snack of mini-muffins, Strawberries and Valentine cupcakes! Our Cardinals truly enjoyed this special snack!
The Cardinals danced into music class led by Zoey. We listen to "Cow Planet" by Billy J. Kramer from the Dog Train album by Sarah Boynton. The Cardinals really "felt" the vibe of this song! So fun to watch! After a voice warm up, the Cardinals sang "Jambo!" along with Keisha playing her guitar.
They brought out their Five Cows (fingers) to recite their action poem/chant. ("This little cow eats grass, this little cow eats hay, this little cow drinks water, this little cow runs away, this little cow does nothing but lies around all day. Sooooooo we'll chase her, chase her, chase her away!")
The Cardinal friends gathered around the white board to compose a rhythmic piece of music (one clap for a rose, two claps for a daisy). With the third composition, the Cardinals used rhythm sticks instead of clapping. Keisha showed them a Double Bar line at the end of the composition - which means they have to Stop. She also told friends that the Rose now is "Ta" and the Daisy is "Tee Tee." Amazing job by the Cardinals! A well deserved "Faaaaaannnnntastic!" cheer:)

Filling Valentine's bags with lots of goodies!
The Cardinals were super super excited to visit the upper school's Stuffed Animal Clinic. We got to the Stewart Lobby and the upper school students were all set up and ready for us! There was a check-in station, nurse practitioners and doctors giving check-ups and referrals for surgery if needed. Surgeons were on hand to perform surgery. Friends even got stickers afterwards! The upper schoolers put smiles on the Cardinals face as they fixed our stuffed animals for us. And yes, the Cardinals all showed their appreciation by saying thank you and giving hugs!
Enjoy the weekend!!
